Parna is a Research Fellow in agent-based modelling in spatial epidemiology, working on a Wellcome Trust-funded project to predict cholera spread. Her research focusses on enhancing conventional cholera prediction models by incorporating agent-based simulations of mobility and activity, with the goal of refining intervention strategies for cholera treatment and prevention. With a background in mathematics and biomedical engineering, Parna has conducted research in malaria epidemiology and methods to prevent biofilm infections on medical devices through optimising controlled drug delivery. Her research interests span infection dynamics and optimising prevention strategies for infections at both hospital and epidemic scales. She is committed to creating innovative, data-driven solutions for infectious disease challenges.
