Hilman is a Research Software Engineer at the School of Geography, University of Leeds, specialising in web mapping development and data visualisation. His research focuses on urban mobility and informal economic activities in developing countries. He holds a master’s degree in Urban Spatial Science from the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) at University College London. He co-founded Suroboyo Ngalor Ngidul, an urban mapping collective in Indonesia. With a background in urban analysis and architecture, his expertise spans geospatial analysis, programming, and visualisation, allowing him to create user-friendly web mapping applications that enhance public engagement with complex geographical data.
