Yihang is a PhD student in the ESRC CDT in Data Analytics & Society, affiliated with the School of Geography and the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics at the University of Leeds. Yihang’s current research focuses on changes in individual travel behaviour within urban transport systems, particularly in response to non-recurrent traffic disruptions. The research aims to collect and analyse empirical data to support the development of agent-based models that predict how individuals adapt their travel behaviour when faced with such disruptions. This project involves collaboration with Transport for West Midlands, providing practical insights and real-world context that may help transportation authorities improve service provision and encourage more adaptive travel behaviour.
